Ekamra Haat is a popular shopping place for traditional handicrafts, textiles and cuisine. The shopping centre is located in the heart of Bhubaneswar city with a span of 5 acres of land. The place is well maintained and a comfortable setting which catch the attention of thousands of tourists and local people. Shops and open display corners provide the shopper wide range of Orissan Handicrafts, paintings, terracotta (reddish-brown clay) pottery, horn toys, stone sculpture, stone carving works, appliqué, cane and bamboo work, palm leaf engravin, and textiles.
The place is a popular entertainment spot as well, where several events and cultural programs are hosted on the stage of Ekamra Haat. Few restaurants and snacks corners serve visitors for refreshment. These shops remain open on all week days from 10 A.M to 10 P.M.
