This component focuses on forming and strengthening community-based organizations like SHGs, Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), and Gram Panchayat Level Federations (GPLFs). The major focus areas are :
Institution BuildingFor strengthening of these institutions’ primary community support staff like -
Community Resource Persons-Community Mobilization (CRP-CM) are community level professionals identified at CLF level from the community to manage the books of accounts and providing capacity building and handholding support to the SHGs.
Master Book Keeper (MBK) are the community resource persons, identified and engaged by GPLF for maintenance of books of account of GPLF, audit of SHG books of account and preparation of financial reports of GPLF etc. The Book Keeper are primarily accountable to the respective SHG and then to the respective CLF. & GPLFs.
Selected from SHG members under OLM to facilitates banking transactions like deposits, withdrawals, account opening, and Aadhaar seeding.
Serves as an agricultural facilitator promoting sustainable and organic farming practices at GP level.
Supports animal husbandry and livestock- based livelihoods, especially poultry farming.
For providing different services, these community support staff are provided with activity-linked assured remuneration and performance-based incentives based upon the deliverables.
The start up fund is meant for GPLF office set-up. The GPLF will conduct different kind of institution building and capacity building activities for its members SHGs and CLFs by utilizing the IB fund.
Capacity Building Programme of OLM is designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities of rural communities—especially women—engaged in self-help groups and livelihood initiatives. It also designed a need based training for its staff also.
